Strickland Estate in Vaucluse has large grassed areas within the grounds to enjoy NYE. The site is licenced with food and alcohol available to purchase.

A free ticket is required.

This is a free vantage point that requires tickets.

  • Tickets are free but only valid for entry between 5pm to 6pm
  • After 6pm, general access will be allowed if the site is not already full

5pm – 12:15am

Entry between 5-7pm for ticket holders. Site closes 12:15am

Transport options

Getting here

  • Roads approaching the vantage point will close from 3pm. Arrive early. See the road closure map and real-time traffic updates at livetraffic.com
    • Bus

      Buses will operate regularly and make stops within short walking distance. 

    • Ferry

      Ferries stop running on the harbour by 5:30pm.

    Getting home

    • Roads remain closed until around 2am. Follow directions of NSW Police and staff.
    • Pedestrian diversions are in place on New Year’s Eve. The way you arrive, may be different to how you get home. Be prepared for a longer walk to transport hubs.
