Getting here

  • No parking available, public transport is the best way to get around on New Year’s Eve, with thousands of additional services running.
  • See road closure information.
  • Follow the directions of NSW Police and staff on site.
  • Train

    The closest stations are Milsons Point (limited services), North Sydney train stations.

    After 6pm, trains from the city will not stop at Milsons Point, alight at North Sydney continue on foot to Luna Park.

  • Metro

    The closest Metro station is Victoria Cross Metro station.

  • Bus

    Buses will not run to Milsons Point, bus passengers will need to walk from North Sydney CBD.

  • Ferry

    Milsons Point ferry wharf will close from 2pm with very limited services operating after the midnight fireworks.

  • Drive

    Roads around Milsons Point will begin closing from 7pm 30 December with major road closures from 5pm on New Year’s Eve, leave the car at home.

Getting home

  • Pedestrian diversions are in place on New Year’s Eve. The way you arrive, may be different to how you get home. Be prepared for a longer walk to transport hubs. 
  • Train

    The closest train stations are Milsons Point and North Sydney stations. Plenty of additional trains services will be operating.

    Milsons Point station will have crowd control measures in place after the fireworks, be patient and follow the directions of NSW Police and staff on site.

  • Metro

    The closest station Metro station is Victoria Cross. Plenty of additional services will be operating.

  • Bus

    Buses towards the Northern Beaches leave from Berry Street, buses towards the north shore and Hills district leave from Miller Street near McLaren Street.

  • Ferry

    Limited ferries run after the midnight fireworks, service will be busy so have a back up plan.
